Tottenham are closing on the loan signing of
Inter Milan winger
Ricardo Quaresma after the player was left out of
Jose Mourinho's 23-man
Champions League squad. The
Portuguese international has struggled to make an impact at the
San Siro since his summer move from
Porto and now he is
on the verge of leaving the club.
It is understood that any deal to take Quaresma to
White Hart Lane may involve
Jermain Jenas going in the other direction after Mourinho admitted he is
interested in the player. Quaresma,
25, is widely regarded as one of the most
inconsistent players in
European football, however that hasn't stopped
Harry Redknapp making a move for the player.
If Redknapp could manage to
get the best out of Quaresma I think this would be an
incredible move for Spurs. On his day, I feel there is
not many better wingers in Europe and maybe a fresh start in
North London will bring the best out of him. Losing Jenas
wouldn't be too bad considering the club already have
several central midfield players on the books.
